About Me

So a little about me...

I'm 20 something years old and work at a small community bank in the eastern suburbs of the Twin Cities. I moved down here from central MN almost 5 years ago to live with my boyfriend, B. I started a whole new life down here, but it wasn't and still isn't easy. I'm trying to find myself and re-find my inner "skinny" self. I've never been "skinny" by all means, but I sure wasn't the size that I am now before college, before meeting B, before moving to the cities, before starting a full time job, before becoming a couch potato. Ugh...life.

I was born and raised in a small town, and now live in a new small town, hence the name of my blog. Do I feel deprived? Absolutely not! I love living a small town life. People are more down to earth and caring in a small town. Everybody knows you, which I honestly think is a great thing. I want to be known, and that's why this blog came into my life.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Hospitality with a minor in Marketing from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. I truly wished my job was more so in this field, but I'll find my calling eventually. Blogging has helped with my marketing passion, even though its' about me LOL.

I live with the love of my life, B. We've been together for almost 6 years this August! I can't believe it. Time sure has flown and we've gone through a lot together. We're definitely each other's half and I couldn't imagine life without him. Thank goodness for Wefest to bring our lives together! Now we just have to get ourselves out of his parent's basement, and move on to the next chapter of our lives together; our first home (a ring would be nice too!). I got engaged on July 31, 2013!!! 5 years after meeting each other at Wefest, B proposed at our campsite with a beautiful ring. I couldn't be any happier!!!

Things I love: collecting pineapple items of all sorts, cats (but B is severely allergic, so we'll never be able to have one...sad day), being crafty, country music, trying new things, experimenting with new recipes, traveling, shopping for ME, getting great deals on shopping (I'm known by my friends to get awesome deals since I'm a couponer and get store membership discounts), and of course, my family and B.

Things I hate: time abusers, food wasters, TV (this is a love/hate relationship: I love to watch shows, but I hate what it has done to my body weight-wise and mine and B's time together always seems to be by the boob-tube), butterscotch, routine, washing dishes, and my natural hair color.
